Bihar State Migrant Labour Accident Grant Scheme (Amendment) Rules, 2026

The Government of Bihar, vide S.O. 75, has issued a notification regarding the Bihar State Migrant Labour Accident Grant Scheme (Amendment) Rules, 2026.
Stakeholders and employers engaging migrant labour are advised to review the amended provisions carefully to ensure compliance with updated eligibility, benefits, and procedural requirements.

Code on Wages, 2019

The Ministry of Labour & Employment has issued a Gazette Notification dated 30 January 2026, notifying a wage ceiling of ₹18,000 per month for persons employed in a supervisory capacity under the Code on Wages, 2019.

Employees in a supervisory role drawing wages exceeding ₹18,000 per month shall be excluded from the definition of “worker” under the Code.

Notification | Industrial Relations Code, 2020

The Ministry of Labour & Employment has issued a Gazette Notification dated 2 February 2026, clarifying that all existing statutory authorities under the Trade Unions Act, 1926, Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946, and Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 shall continue to function until new authorities are appointed under the Industrial Relations Code, 2020.

This ensures continuity of functions, smooth transition, and avoids any legal or administrative vacuum during the implementation of the Code.
