The order declares Tuesday, 6 October 2026, a public holiday for the poll in two specified Assembly constituencies: 35-Madurantakam (SC) in Chengalpattu district and 101-Dharapuram (SC) in Tiruppur district. The declaration is made under the Negotiable Instruments Act holiday provision cited in the Gazette. It is a constituency-area order and must not be displayed as a blanket public holiday for every location in Tamil Nadu.
