Tamil Nadu Shops annual-return rules: final 2025 amendment
Final September 2025 Tamil Nadu Shops Rules amendment prescribing the combined annual return in Form ZC under rule 16-D, with online filing on or before 31 January each year.
Who this applies to
Employers of establishments subject to section 47-A and rule 16-D
What to reconcile before filing
The return draws on workforce, wage, leave, maternity, bonus and applicable contractor and migrant-worker records. Confirm which fields apply to the establishment and retain the submission acknowledgement.
The period is the calendar year ending 31 December. Do not treat the 31 January deadline as an employer registration renewal date or automatically move it because of a holiday.
