The Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India unveils a visionary initiative — the ELI Scheme, aimed at:
Generating over 3.5 crore jobs
Enhancing employability and social security
Encouraging formal employment & skill development
Key Benefits:
For Employees:
- On-the-job training to improve first-time employability
- Formal job opportunities with EPFO registration
- Social security coverage & financial literacy support
For Employers:
- Monthly incentive up to ₹3,000 per additional employee
- Direct DBT to PAN-linked bank account
- Applicable for all sectors (2 years) and manufacturing (4 years)
Eligibility Highlights:
- Establishments registered with EPFO
- Hiring of minimum 2 (if <50 staff) or 5 (if ≥50 staff) new employees
- Regular filing of ECR
- Employees must earn up to ₹1 lakh/month
Special Support for First-Time EPFO Employees:
- One-time incentive of up to ₹15,000 in two installments
- Completion of Financial Literacy Course via EPFO Portal
- Paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)

ESIC Launches the New Amnesty Scheme 2025
The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), in its 196th meeting held on 27.06.2025, has rolled out the New Amnesty Scheme 2025, aimed at:
- Reducing litigation through out-of-court settlements
- Withdrawing criminal cases filed against employers and insured persons
- Resolving disputes under Sections 75 and 82 of the ESI Act
- Enhancing stakeholder trust and corporate goodwill
Key Highlights of the Scheme:
- Settlement of coverage and contribution disputes
- Withdrawal of prosecution cases filed under Sections 84, 85 & 85A
- Relief in cases of damage disputes upon partial payment
- Special provisions for closed/running units and old pending cases
- No damages and reduced interest obligations in qualified cases
Scheme Duration: 01.10.2025 to 30.09.2026
Applicable to all employers and insured persons, including past beneficiaries of earlier schemes.
A major step toward ease of compliance and reducing legal burdens for employers under the ESI Act, 1948.
Employers and stakeholders are encouraged to utilize this opportunity and ensure smooth resolution of cases pending before courts.
