Exemptions for IT & ITES Establishments under Shops & Establishments Act in Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh government has extended exemptions for all Information Technology (IT) and IT-Enabled Services (ITES) establishments from certain provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Shops and Establishments Act, 1988. This exemption applies to Sections 15, 16, 21, 23, 31, and specific provisions under Section 47 (1)(2)(3)(4) for a further period of five years, effective from the date of publication of the notification.

This move aims to provide greater flexibility for IT and ITES businesses, supporting ease of operations and business growth in the state.
