Notification: Revision of Minimum Wages in Kerala – Effective July 2025

- The CPI for Agricultural Labourers and Industrial Workers for May 2025 has been notified by the Department of Economics & Statistics.

- Monthly-rated employees: ₹26 for every point above 300 points of CPI (1998-99 = 100 series)
- Daily-rated employees: ₹1 per point above the 300-point CPI threshold
- Minimum Wages (Computer Software Sector):
- Group A (Manager): ₹21,330 – ₹26,080
- Group B (Project/Deputy Managers): ₹19,950 – ₹24,200
- Group I (Sweepers/Cleaners): ₹13,110 – ₹14,735

- Service Weightage:
- Employees are entitled to annual increments for every 5 years of service.
- Once maximum scale is reached, increments follow the next scale’s minimum increment.
- General Conditions:
- Higher existing wages shall prevail if employees are currently earning above the new minimum rates.
- Daily wages = Monthly wages ÷ 26
- Categories not explicitly mentioned are to be paid as per equivalent grade.
Effective Date:
The revised minimum wages and DA rates come into force from the date of Gazette publication: 16th July 2025.
