Minimum Wages Revised in Andaman & Nicobar Islands | Effective from 1st July 2025
The Office of the Labour Commissioner, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, has announced a revision in the minimum wages for workers across Six Scheduled Employments under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, effective from 01.07.2025.
New Minimum Wage Rates (Per Day):
Unskilled – ₹647
Semi-Skilled / Unskilled Supervisory – ₹728
Skilled / Clerical – ₹851
Highly Skilled – ₹934
This revision is based on the average All India Consumer Price Index (October 2024 – March 2025) and continues the semi-annual wage update mechanism as per Notification No. 133/2023/F dated 27.12.2023. All other terms remain unchanged.
Applicable to:
Government Departments, Offices, and Industrial Establishments within the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
